Kenmare and Killarney Guided Day Tour

This chauffeur driven day tour will touch your emotions and you will be inspired by what you see and hear. You'll discover havens of peace and tranquility, see breathtaking scenery over land and sea, and feel the depth of dedication one man had for his quest to create beauty and magnificence.

And as with all our carefully selected luxury day tours, if you bring your camera, you'll be able to take a little piece of Ireland back home with you.

Our Pictures-in-Words Route

We ease our way effortlessly and in absolute comfort from your hotel, Passing through unsurpassed and varied scenery, we shortly arrive in the charming village of Kenmare. With historical links dating back to 1670, the exquisite beauty of a bygone era remains for you to enjoy and to amble around at will; and it's where we'll have lunch.

Duly refreshed, we head for Killarney, but not before we see the spectacular Molls Gap and the stunning panoramic Ladies View as we look towards the Killarney lakes. The grandeur of this view sets the heart racing and was so loved by Queen Victoria's ladies in waiting when they came that it was named after them in the year 1861.

As we weave gently down the valley and within touching distance of the Killarney lakes, we realise we're in the heart of the Killarney National Park. And at its centre we arrive at the Victorian splendour of Muckross House and Gardens. It's essential to experience this haven of beauty at the head of Muckross Lake. No words can do justice to the beauty you will see and the fascinating history you'll hear about.

Our next scenic gem is the Gap of Dunloe - a place where the MacGillacuddy Reeks mountain range was parted by a huge glacier to create this beautiful valley. A short walk along it reveals yet another lake view, and if desired refreshments may be taken at the famous Kate Kearney's cottage.

In a matter of minutes we arrive in the centre of Killarney; a town that recently celebrated its 250 anniversary of welcoming visitor. Yet through all this time, its human scale and charm have remained. Feel free to wander through the shops, or you could take a short walk into the National Park.

With our itinerary almost completed, we will travel east and bring you safely to your hotel where over dinner you can reflect upon your splendid day.
